This prayer (below) is a very powerful prayer.

As your speak the scriptures out, you are using the sword of your mouth. We speak scripture because it is the words of God, it is the truth and it is the sword of the spirit.

Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. – Eph 6:17

So what I have done is compiled a series of new testament scriptures in 5 mini-themes:

  1. God gave gifts given to the world
  2. the world’s release from the law
  3. the end of sin
  4. the end of death
  5. the grace of God now reigns in this world

This prayer is the result of many years of struggle and learning. Each scripture has been prayed over hundreds if not more than a thousand times.

As I read these scriptures over several times, daily, the message of what Jesus Christ did on His cross and the power out-flowing from His resurrection sinks deeper and deeper into me, enlarging my faith. I hope it does for you too 🙂

— GIFTS — “Jesus Christ took the sins of the world upon Himself and He experienced death for every individual person (Heb 2:9), for both believers and unbelievers (1Jn 2:2) and Jesus Christ gave life to the world (Jn 6:33, 1 Cor 15:22) and God gave gifts to the world (Eph 4:8). It was God in Jesus Christ reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting the world’s trespasses against them but canceling them (2Co 5:19, Rom 5:10) and making purification for sins (Heb 1:3). For our sake God made Jesus Christ to be sin who knew no sin, so that IN Jesus Christ we might become the righteousness of God (2Co 5:21, Rom 3:21). Through Jesus Christ God reconciled everything in Heaven and on Earth back to Himself in peace (Col 1:20).

— LAW — The sting (judicial process) of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law (1Co 15:56). Apart from the law sin lies dead (Rom 7:8). We (Christians) uphold the law! (Rom 3:31) Where there is no law there is no transgression of it (Rom 4:15). Sin is not counted where there is no law (Rom 5:13). Through His cross Jesus Christ created peace between us and God and He reconciled us to God by removing the hostility between us and God which was created by the law (Eph 2:14-16). Jesus Christ redeemed (released) us from the curse of the law (Gal 3:13, Heb 9:12, Rom 7:5-6). Jesus Christ ended the law (Rom 10:4).

— SIN — Jesus Christ subdued and overcame sin (Rom 8:3). Jesus Christ put away and abolished sin by the sacrifice of Himself (Heb 9:26). By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, God condemned sin (Rom 8:3) and acquitted all men and gave them right standing with God (Rom 5:18). Sin has no dominion over us because we are under grace (Rom 6:14)

— DEATH — “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? (judicial process)” (1Co 15:55). Death can no longer sting (judicial process) us (1Cor 15:56). Death you could not hold Jesus Christ (Acts 2:24). Now Jesus Christ ALONE holds the keys to death and Hades (Rev 1:18). Death is destroyed (2Tim 1:10). Jesus Christ destroyed the devil’s work (1 Jn 3:8), He brought the devil to nought and made him of no effect (Heb 2:14). He disarmed and triumphed over them (Col 2:15), Jesus Christ led them captive (Eph 4:8) and you have been gathered into a pit/dungeon (Is 24:21-22). devil, may NO fruit EVER come from you again (Matt 21:19). Get behind me satan, you are in my way! (Matt 16:23), in the Name of Jesus Christ.”

— GRACE — God’s grace (His undeserved and unmerited mercy and favor toward this world) has surpassed sin and death, it has increased more, it has superabounded and His grace reigns in this world! (Rom 5:21)

It is one single prayer, a logical progression from gifts given to the world by God through His Son Jesus Christ… flowing through to the logical end, with the grace of God reigning in this world.

This prayer is mighty because Jesus Christ is the author and finisher of our faith, it is He who has overcome… this prayer is a weapon to pull down strongholds. All you need to do is speak it in faith…

For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds – 2 Cor 10:4

I accept and understand that these truths might not be currently visible in your life, but go ahead and speak them out prophetically. Speak them in faith, because we walk by faith and not by sight. We have taught that it is scriptural to speak to the mountains and to speak to the fig tree… so speak these scriptures!

Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith will it be done to you” – Matt 9:28-30

What an encouraging thing Jesus Christ taught us… that He does in our life according to our faith. As Reinhard Bonnke said recently, it is our faith that limits us…

Whatever power God gives us it is subject to faith. ALL power is available, but it operates or is limited by our faith. There is no point in praying for more power, more Holy Spirit. There is one Spirit and He is all-sufficient. He does not come in degrees, but in fullness, ‘according to your faith be it unto you”. The limitation is not in God – He comes to us in fullness. We limit God. – Reinhard Bonnke

Let us not limit our faith at all. Believe those scriptures and speak them out boldy. It will be done according to your faith. So have faith!!

IMPORTANT NOTE: People do not have eternal life until they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. This prayer does not give someone eternal life. You and I cannot give anyone eternal life through our faith. People only come to Jesus Christ when the Father enables them.

But what I CAN DO is believe that Jesus Christ HAS removed the obstacles in their way so that they can respond to Him more easily. Law-sin-death used to reign in this world and kept people trapped and blinded in a web of ever increasing pain and trauma. Your faith breaks that cycle and causes this world to live under the reign of God’s grace.

That is what we do in this prayer, we acknowledge the all sufficient sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour. We acknowledge the power outflowing from His resurrection (Phil 3:7-11).

Faith is the access to power in Heaven, and by speaking out these scriptures in faith you will see mountains moved in your life and in lives around you.

  4. Hi you! I need help from all u steong christians out there…I just became a believer n I have a disease but u believe im already healed by tge stripes of jesus. I love praying in faith n acting out on the word…but lately im so confussed…everyone is giving me random ideas. One says only command the other says believe in ure heart only n act in faith, another says keep confessing the word of God …erghh!! Wat shud I do…im getting a headache trying to combine everything. Prayer of faith gives me peace…is dat enough or more to it?

  5. I am sad, empty, weak…. I had an argument with my girlfriend over her drug addiction.. As it escalated I put my clothes on to leave.. when I was at the door I told my girlfriend that I was going to call her mother and tell her. She jumped out of bed screaming , not to call her mother. she tried grabbing me by my neck and as I tried to turn around and get her of my neck my arm hit her and she called the cops telling them that I hit her. I have to go to court Monday 2/10/14 because a warrant was issued for me. I don’t know what to do. I might loose my job and everything god has blessed me with. I am hoping that they wont arrest me in court but let me go for another court date so I can continue this without loosing everything.

    • I found sight just now and read your situation.I just want to tell you to fast.I pray all went well.when ever you are going through ruff Times like this try and go into dry fasting an prayer.Those two together is a powerful weapon.Pray for your girlfriend with fasting.Forgive her for she know not what she do.The enemy wants her soul.spiritually she is in bondage.she needs prayer.I will pay for you.Your story broke my heart.May God protect you.

I would love for the lord to restore our relationship, but that he may move the hindrances that keep us from being happy together and to help Jennifer turn from addiction and into the lord. I love her so much but right now it seems as if there is no hope for us. I am confused and I don’t know if God doesn’t want use together. I just want to be happy with her. Please fast and pray for us..

    • Hello I am still suffering with unforgiveness in my soul. I have very strong trust issues from my child hood then God sent a friend that was exactly like myself and we bonded and for the first time I really felt like I had an actual friend. We had an issue where I got into an altercation with one of his friends and got into a physical altercation with my friends friend and ended up in the hospital. I still am having trouble forgiving my friend as I trusted him and felt set up. Please pray that I can forgive this friend and finally move on

    • May God vindicate you. Don’t feel bad for how the situation turned out. Seek God as your defender and refuge and He will deliver you. Don’t stop praying for your girl, for her soul to be delivered. Give her some space while you continue to show her compassion and love of Christ. It is well with you in Jesus name.

  6. I have always had Jesus in my life. Last year I prayed that He would show me areas where I was not right and help me to change it at any cost. Watch what you say. Two months later a figurative tornado picked me up, shook me up and dropped me breaking every bone in my body and piercing my heart. God has been collecting a lot of tears. If not for this horrible trial and 9 months of agony, the good that comes when you ask God to refine you would never have been realized. I have delved into His word, prayed and broke two strongholds tonight. Stand behind me Satan! In Jesus’ Name! I searched on-line for something to read about strongholds and there was your beautiful prayer filled with scripture. Thank you for the drink of water.

    • In Gods will pllease pray that God will restore my relationship with Lavon and that we will be understanding, patient and compromising of each other. Release all past hurts so that we will not carry this pain into our union. I ask that Lavon forgive me for assumptions and negative thinking I had and recognizing who I am becoming by the Grace of God. I pray that any strongholds or anything trying to come between us is removed. That we will not fall into temptations during any trials but will remember the love we have for one another and the unconditional love God has for us both. God will put me on the heart and mind of Lavon and he know he is my best friend and continue to grow and strengthen our relationship under a covenent of God and we will be in harmony again. Please pray for my baby girl that no evil spoken against her will come to pass and for my marriage to be covered by the blood of Jesus and for all generational curses to be broken and all doors that are not of Jesus to be shut all lying mouths to be closed and all glory to God in Jesus’ name.   15. Please pray that God will restore my relationship with Larry and that we will be understanding of each other, learning to compromise to make our relationship work. Release all past hurts and abuse so that we will not carry this pain into our union. Larry will come around and forgive me for my thinking and recognizing who I am becoming by the Grace of God and still marry me.   17. Please pray for me. My partner became estranged 4 months ago. There has been little communication whatsoever between us, initiated by me. I miss him, and pray for him to get back all day and all night.

    • I am going through a very similar situation, my husband says hes in love with another ‘Christian’ woman, they are committing adultery and its only through Gods grace and love that the lines of communication have stayed open between us. He recognises he is sinning but says she has a hold over him that he cant/wont break. I am praying constantly for this relationship to end and for my husband to return to God but today God revealed a harsh truth – I also have to pray for this other woman – that whatever void she has in her life will be willed in a godly manner (not by my husband) we need to pray together and for each other to break down these strongholds, to loosen the ties that bind and that God will be able to reveal his love, plan and purspose clearly again to our spouses.     • The Word of the Lord says: “Seek ye first the kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. God must be first in your life, and walking in His righteousness to bring about the latter part of everything being added to you.   22. Hi I am in a very complicated situation. And I am struggling and shattered within
    My self even as I write. I met a girl 9 months ago. She has a 9yr old son. She was on a student visa and she She got pregnant with me in October in December she went to her home country Colombia and left her son with his father(she was not married to him) and she came back to after her mom trying to stop her a lot from coming to me. She came back to me on January 12 and stayed with me in my house with my parents. On February 6 she came to drop me at work and went back home she was supposed to me and me at 12:30 because we were going to go for lunch and discuss about her son. I called her at 1pm and she was still at home I called her at 1:20 she was still there and I heard my dad shouting and she was crying and talking about me and her son
    And the pregnancy. I got worried I thought it was just a discussion
    But then my mom calls me and tells me she is packing her bags and leaving
    I got shocked (my license) is suspend so I was not driving
    I had to wait for someone in the office to take me home (30min drive) till I got home she had left. I didn’t know where she went with who. I tried callin her friend and my girlfriend answered the phone. she said she was leaving to her country to her son
    Her mom had completely brainwashed her to leave. she is 5months pregnant now.she is
    in her country now, And is not talking to me. I know for a fact she really loves me a lot
    No doubt about it and so do I. her mom had visited some astrologer “yo soy energia”
    And they told her “im not good for her”. And I am guessing thru that person she has done something to her that my girlfriend is completely cut connections with me.
    And based on that her mom dose not like me and
    Doses not want her daughter to be with me.
    And I love her a lot and so dose she.
    I just pray and hope she comes back coz I want to make
    A family with her I cant go there to her country because of my status in the US
    But she can come her coz she has a valid visa. Please pray that she comes here

    • Anonymous, You have to speak differently. You have to speak life to your self not death. Speak on the solution and what God’s word says about what is going on in your life. Listen to Joel Osteen and to your own pastor if you have one. Your mind has and real respond to the life YOU give it not what the circumstances around you give it. You have to believe that you are already free and that nothing can separate you from God’s love and purpose.
