Jesus Christ is the door… to everything

Jesus Christ described Himself as the way, the truth and the life. He also called Himself the door.

He really is the door to absolutely everything.

First we must we get to know and accept Him… by accept I mean BELIEVE that He did all the things that the OT prophesied that He would do, and BELIEVE all the things He said about Himself, and BELIEVE all the things the NT said He did (past tense) on the cross and in His resurrection.

In the prcoess of that… and its a long journey… as we make that journey we discover the Father. He is the door to our Father in Heaven. Then over time we begin to see what our Father is doing, hear what He is saying, just as Jesus Christ did. We realise that Jesus Christ was the first born of many children of God and we learn that just as the Father sent Jesus Christ so in the same way Jesus Christ sends us. We also begin to see His ongoing faithfulness to His ancient promises to His chosen people the Jews.

As we get to know and accept Jesus Christ we get to see and understand and eventually accept and interact with the Holy Spirit… just as Jesus Christ did. Over time we see the Holy Spirit’s humility and we learn to sense when He is assisting us. We learn how to work alongside Him. We come to realise why one of His Names is the Spirit of Christ.

As we get to know and accept Jesus Christ we begin to discover and learn about and understand who He has made us to be, where He has made us sit, in whose image and likeness we are, our authority and so much more.

As we get to know and accept Jesus Christ we begin to discover and learn about and understand how the Kingdom of Heaven works, where it is, how we enter, how to make it manifest and so much more. Eventually we discover that the Kingdom of Heaven is within us and the living waters which already flow out from under His throne begin to flow out of our belly.

As we get to know and accept Jesus Christ we begin to discover that He Himself is… our joy, He is our healing, He is our life. No, Im not saying that we draw our joy from Him. Instead I am saying when we have Him “manifest in our mortal flesh” (2Cor 4:11) then His joy is IN us.  He literally IS our joy. He IS our healing. He is our righteousness… our… everything.

His manifest Presence in our mortal flesh doesnt just bring us His perfect joy, it brings us everything that He is. We discover that “as is the Heavenly Man, so also are we who are of Heaven” (1 Cor 15:48). We are not as He was when He walked on Earth about 2000 years ago. No. We are as He is now, in Heaven.

As we get to know Him and accept and declare in faith these truths, holding onto them every day, we become more like Him as these things begin to manifest. Simply knowing these things is not enough, the enemy knows scripture very well. We must declare and proclaim. In our mouths is life and death. Speak life… Jesus Christ IS our life.

As we get to know Him we begin to understand the church. It is made up of people who are somewhere along the journey of having Him manifest in their mortal flesh too. We realise He is in me, in you, in us, He is in them… He is all and in all… we are one body which is His body… in Him the church, the people are being built up into the literal dwelling place of God. We discover that we… His body… ARE are the “Heavenly” Jerusalem, we are the mountain of God, we are Zion.

As we get to know and accept Jesus Christ we begin to discover and learn about and understand… life the universe and everything. It was all created by Him, for Him, through Him… He was before all things and through Him all things are held together (Col 1:17).

He is the door to everything!
