Zech promised Him
In the OT part of the bible, in the book of Zechariah, there is a sign of what is to come. Let’s take a look:
” ‘Listen, O high priest Joshua and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. – Zech 3:8
So the high priest Joshua was a symbol of things to come. The fullness of this symbol would be brought by the Servant, the Branch.
Let’s understand the symbol and the promise. Let’s back up to verses 1-7 and read the story. Remember… what happened was a symbol of what was to come. Check it out:
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him. The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”
Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”
Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put rich garments on you.” Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the LORD stood by – Zech 3:1-6
Filthy clothes represents sin. Sin is the problem. We all sin. We sin every day. We are sinners. And satan uses our sins to accuse us and to keep us bound and trapped and separated from our Heavenly Father. Look at the verse 1 “Satan standing at his right side to accuse him”.
If only we could have our sins removed, once and for all, completely, with no exceptions. Wait a second! God took away Joshua’s sins. And He said it was a symbol of what is to come through His Branch (the Servant).
It wasn’t painful. It wasn’t hard. Joshua didn’t even kneel down. God simply took it away with no fuss at all. No repentance. No begging. No difficulty. No nothing.
Wow. Seriously. What happened to Joshua was a “symbol” right? And it was a symbol to be fulfilled by the “Servant” or the “Branch”.
This book (Zechariah) was written somewhere around 500 BC. Jesus was and IS the “Servant” and He was also called the “Branch” by Isaiah.
So… JESUS IS THE PROMISED “BRANCH” and He CAN simply TAKE AWAY your and my sins. With no fuss. Once and for all. Utterly depriving satan of his ability to accuse us, removing the power of sickness (which is simply a form of death) and anything else of the Kingdom of Darkness of it’s power in our lives.
BUT. What’s the fine print?
You have to believe that Jesus DID take your sin away… it only happens when you choose to believe that He did do it on the cross when He died.
If you are desperate for the promised freedom that God has for you… for healing… for deliverance… I am showing you the Way right now.
May God bless you if you “get” it today. It took 18 months for me to get this and walk in it… and then my freedom came rapidly. That is why I am encouraging you to read one of these per day.
You do not need to understand it all. You do not need to have it all figured out. Simply SAY the prayer with your mouth and watch your life change, day by day by day. Mine did. Yours can too.
Will you say this prayer with me?
Thank You Lord Jesus that 500 years before You came, God showed us that someone would come and remove our sin. Thank You Lord Jesus that YOU are that Someone. I freely confess and choose to believe that when You died, You took ALL of my sins on the cross. In fact You took the sins of the whole world on the cross. You are the Lamb of God. You washed me clean. Even though I still sin and I am a sinner and I will sin until the day I die, You removed my sins from me, You pre-paid (like a charge card) for my sins. You set me free. I believe that You did this Lord Jesus. Even if I sin 1 million more times in my life, the accuser (satan) has absolutely no accusations left. And because my sin is removed, there is no barrier between me and my Heavenly Father. My Father can now come into my life and heal me, restore me and bless me and much much more. Thank You for dying for me Lord Jesus!
Believe me, if you said that prayer out loud, your life will begin to change. This is not hear-say. My life has changed and I have healed day by day. My life is unrecognizable from just 8 months ago. Yours will change too.
But remember, He said if we abide in Him, He will abide in us. To abide is a daily thing. Not a one-time thing. So…
- If I wake you up a week from now and asked “are you a sinner?” your answer is “yes”.
- If I waked you up and asked “are your sins all forgiven?” your answer is “yes”.
- If I waked you up and asked “are you made perfect and satan has nothing to accuse you of?” your answer is “yes”.
May God bless you. Keep reading these prayers and saying them, day by day. Your Father in Heaven will restore you and change your life.
Rest assured you are saved. But… if you want the maximum connection with your Heavenly Father… then abide in what Jesus did for you. The connection between you and God is open for as long as you abide in what Jesus did for you. Daily.
