When we confess Jesus as Lord and that God raised Him from the dead, we are saved by the words of our mouth. That’s Romans 10:9.
Here it is again, Romans 10:9-11, in the AMP:
… if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe (adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.
The Scripture says, No man who believes in Him [who adheres to, relies on, and trusts in Him] will [ever] be put to shame or be disappointed.
This is where it starts! Awesome!
You are now in a relationship with God, if you say with your mouth and believe that Jesus is the way to God, the only way to God, and that He is alive now and that you will be saved by Him and you will live in eternity.
Once you have done that, a “seed” is placed within you – and that seed can grow into a mighty tree (The Kingdom of God grows – a process) if the cares and attractions of this world (The parable of the sower) don’t manage to interrupt your growth along the way.

Hi, I’ve been wondering, is “confessing with my mouth” (something easy if just a verbal declaration which the verse seems to imply) and “believing in the resurrection” sufficient for Salvation?
Short story about those who ‘believe’. A trapeze artist walked a tight rope holding up a chair. After crossing, crowd applauded!!!. Trapeze man called out” Do you believe I can carry a man across while he is sitting in this chair?” YES!!! they all cried. ‘Any volunteers???” … No one volunteered .. Belief is more than just lip service 🙂
