This is a three part series:
Evangelism is SO EASY. Simply be open and honest. Let the people around you see where you have come from. Tell them your struggles. Let them see the good things that have happened. As long as they don’t feel judged, they will ask how they can get the salt you have, how they can receive the light you have.
When they open the door, that is the right time to tell them who rescued you and that they can be rescued too. You cannot open the door. You cannot even knock on it. Be yourself and if Jesus really has saved you from something they are struggling with, they will ask you how to be saved as well. Love them and accept them and do not pressure them. Wait until they willingly open the door to you, then step through and share your faith and how He helped you.
Of course, all of this is dependant on your having a working salvation. You need to have been saved and restored. You also need to be honest and brave.
A transformer. Willing to go out there and put yourself in a position of vulnerability, to share, to be open. Salt and light. Salt gets put into food, it’s not kept apart from food. Light is placed in darkness, it isn’t put into already well lit rooms.
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. either do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. – Matthew 5:13-16
