A time of light flooding the world

I have recently been writing about the changes that are upon us all in this world. I keep saying… it’s a great time to be alive. So… when I had a real-world experience recently, I was wondering if, when and how to blog it.

Then today a friend of mine sent this to me. After reading this, you can then read my experience. The two dovetail together wonderfully!

ANTICIPATING THE COMING STORM

I was in our driveway at home sitting with my sister … in the front of my husbands Mitsubishi van as this dream began.  The darkening sky hinted strongly a storm was coming so I wanted a good place to be able to watch the action in relative safety.  Even so I knew the van would take a beating.

I was really excited because the sky looked so like it had the day the super cell storm came over our city some years back.  That storm is the best storm I have ever been in but it was definitely scary.  I was excited that here was a chance of going through it all over again.  This time I was determined to study the sky before the storm hit – I wanted to know where the lightening came from.

My constant reminders that it would be awesome but terrifying were annoying my sisters who shrugged their annoyance at me or gave me glowering looks.  I waited till their frustration with me eased before telling them a bit more.  I was concerned they be well prepared yet I knew it would be even more dangerous if we had an argument given the proximity of the storm.

My heart dropped with terror when my sister suddenly decided to get out of the car to get something from the veranda.  She had no idea what was coming and her sense of safety was very misplaced even though my sister felt I was exaggerating.

It made no difference reminding them that when the super cell storm hit last time it pinned people down where they were. They did not believe me.

When the super cell hit trees fell down, great drifts of hail closed roads and the lightning was fast furious.  Water gushed down roads that became rivers and suburban homes found they were suddenly unintentional boats in the middle of rapidly filling lakes that came from no where.  This storm was very dangerous because it came from every direction.  No where seemed to be safe and water broke through our ceiling so that rain was pouring into our kitchen.

Ignoring the tension between my self and my sisters I kept a whether eye on the sky.  It had become blacker than before the super cell.  In fact it became so dark I could see stars and lost sight of the clouds.  I was hoping the lightening would come and light up the sky so I could see the clouds.  I focused my attention on the stars.  I wanted to be prepared for the direction of the storm and watch it close in till it hit us.

My patience was rewarded.  Suddenly a star filled with intense light and burst into massive spirally lightening that criss crossed the sky.  My shoulders hunched as a reflex bracing me for the deafening sound of thunder that soon embraced the car.  It was awesome.

I could see dense white rolling cloud heading toward us that looked like the front of an avalanche.  Soon the cloud hit us and blocked out the scene with a massive dump of sago sized hail that captured the car.  It was terrifyingly exciting and I was trying to take in as much of it as I could bear to feel.  I loved it.

We didn’t speak as the storm rolled over with a deafening roar and then came the silence.  “It has passed over us!”

Opening the door of the van we were greeted with a wet and dripping world.  Drifts of hail banked against the garden walls and house.  The sound of multiple rivulets trickling toward the roaring drains was the music in our ears.  And the smell of a freshly showered world – was wonderful and crisp – the air cooled by the ice in the hail refreshing.

I savored this moment most of all and lost sense of my sisters.  I was so present in this space.  It was so special to me.

So on to my experience. I went to the coast with Angela and her boys (a friend) and when she returned back, I stayed on down there. On one of the days she spent with her boys and I went into the local town.

I went to the bay area and found my way onto the local pier. I had felt this would be a time of intercession and reflection. I had my bible and I wasn’t afraid to use it! 🙂

While I was out there I had an odd experience with a man man on a bicycle who referred to himself as a . After this odd encounter, I moved to another part of the pier, because I saw very dark storm clouds coming overhead.

I moved under the shelter that you can see in the image left/above. I was out there and although I had a shelter over me, as the darkness rolled in, I felt very exposed and at risk.

The sky was clear and the sun was out, but over to the right (of the image) I saw very dark clouds coming. They seemed to leap up into the sky from the ground.

They moved across the bay, right to left. They moved with speed. They were very scary. If I looked into them my mind seemed to melt and I immediately felt like I was mentally ill. I had to look away from these dark clouds. I felt like I was about to be hit with lightning at any moment. Fear was trying to grip me.

The darkness and weirdness of these clouds was just so strange and it’s effect on me was so tangible, that I had to look away and pray, keep my eyes on His finished work on the cross.

Therefore thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am laying in Zion for a foundation a Stone, a tested Stone, a precious Cornerstone of sure foundation; he who believes (trusts in, relies on, and adheres to that Stone) will not be ashamed or give way or hasten away [in sudden panic]. – Is 28:16

The problem immediately stopped and I could look back at this cloud. I ignored it while, but I saw it gradually conquered the whole sky. As it moved right to left, it filled everything, blocking out the blue sky, blocking out the sun.

I felt pressed to begin interceding to stop what I could see was happening. As I prayed the cloud kept going, but it slowed down. It seemed to reach it’s destination over to the left and it seemed to be descending down to the earth. I was absolutely anxious that it doesn’t touch the earth! I prayed and prayed, stating and restating what Jesus Christ has done for all of us.

Some of the prayers were too abstract and deviated from the words scripture – and the clouds closed in to completely cover the sky. As I focused on the exact words of scripture – not tradition or interpretation – I saw the clouds slow to a halt.

For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. – 1John 5:4

The downward part had almost touched the earth, but I could still see just a sliver of light between the downward part and the ground. I just kept praying scripture

Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life]. – 1 Cor 15:45

And He [that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but also for [the sins of] the whole world. – 1 John 2:2

The next day John saw Jesus coming to him and said, Look! There is the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world! – John 1:29

While we were yet in weakness [powerless to help ourselves], at the fitting time Christ died for (in behalf of) the ungodly. – Rom 5:6

Now where there is absolute remission (forgiveness and cancellation of the penalty) of these [sins and lawbreaking], there is no longer any offering made to atone for sin.” – Heb 10:18

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? Now sin is the sting of death, and sin exercises its power [upon the soul] through [the abuse of] the Law.But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.
– 1 Cor 15:56

If I deviated from scripture, the darkness continued it’s progression, but if I stood firm and maintained His finished work, the darkness lifted back up, away from the earth.

As I continued to pray, the darkness began to move back, retreating. The amount of light grew and grew, the covering of darkness had almost become complete, but now light was growing.

It moved back and back, going back to where it started. Unexpectedly light moved into from behind, from where it had originally come from! The darkness seemed to have to move out to sea, no longer able to go forward to it’s goal, nor back to where it came from. Light came in from the sides too.

The victory is His on the cross, but it as the bible says…

every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. – 1John 5:4

From dark to light – churches get ready!

The darkness over this world suddenly accelerated in these last 10 years. But now we are seeing a massive change. Light is flooding this world and it is changing lives.

I wrote to a wonderful friend “You should be seeing at least some change in the people that you see around, they suddenly seem clearer or cleaner. You haven’t seen that yet?” and she replied “You know what? I have seen some changes in my family. Little signs of Major changes.”

Those changes are just the start. It’s a time of Jubilee (- wikipedia) for everyone in this world, believer or not. It’s a free gift to all, whether they respond or not. There is no us-and-them in this. It’s all of us!

So you will see the faces and lives of people who do not believe change as well as those who do. Belief in Jesus Christ is  not compulsory… but it is my fervent hope that when non-believers receive, they will express a deeper interest in how this free gift came to be available to them. Perhaps some will search with renewed energy and enthusiasm.

And they will. Everyone (individuals, not just churches) will have to scramble to keep up with the interest that will be shown in Jesus Christ. Heads up! It’s too late to start a “building program”, you will need to be more innovative than that.

Locally I know of a church that is already up to 6 services in the one building they have and their bible study session filled up 6 months ago! 6 sessions? That won’t be anywhere near enough – you will need to think bigger, much much bigger. Home groups. Cells. You will run out of space. Move into homes. Go into McDonalds. Anywhere. Everywhere.

We are about to come into a time of unprecedented change in people and as a result in society. Everywhere I look, I can see it already. There is no one leader, other than Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

There is no one single human point of failure, so bothering the messenger won’t make any difference to what this King is doing.
