How long is “a little more than a year” because THAT is when His Spirit will be poured out

Do you remember this blog post? Lakes and rivers to run again in Australia. We now know that this prophecy was astonishingly fulfilled. It’s well and clearly documented in my (free) MS Word document: 2008-9 Prophecies and Miracles v2.

In that post I summarized and quoted Isaiah…

Is 32:3 … the eyes of those who see will not be closed or dimmed, and the ears of those who hear will listen…

Isaiah 32:10 In little more than a year you will be shaken with anxiety, you careless and complacent women; for the vintage will fail, and the ingathering will not come. …

Isaiah 32:15 Until the Spirit is poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness becomes a fruitful field, and the fruitful field is valued as a forest….

Isaiah 32:17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever.

So how are we doing on this prophecy?

End of world postponed
September 22, 2009

The global economic downturn has probably hit bottom and the US may have emerged from recession at the end of July or during August, according to Paul Krugman, the Nobel prize-winning economist. “The end of the world appears to have been postponed,” Krugman, a professor at Princeton University, said yesterday. “We’ve had an extraordinarily terrible crisis” though “we’ve probably hit bottom” as “world output has turned positive“.

Well well well! Now we have come to the moment-critique!  🙂

Let’s dissect this carefully, because it really matters…

What am I looking for? I want to know if what God said would happen, if it did happen. And if it did, then we can increase our trust in His words for the future.

  • Question 1: Did the prophesied crisis occur? – Yes.
  • Question 2: Did it last a little more than 1 year? – Yes, from Sept to now, we are emerging from it
  • Question 3: Has He begun to pour out His Spirit? – Well that depends on how long “a little more than a year” is.

Wikipedia says that the crisis “spiked” in September 2008 (detailed here). “In September 2008, the crisis deepened, as stock markets worldwide crashed and entered a period of high volatility, and a considerable number of banks, mortgage lenders and insurance companies failed in the following weeks.”

I can come to a few conclusions that should give us confidence:

  1. God prophesied the collapse – correct!
  2. God prophesied the collapse would last one year – correct!
  3. God prophesied that His Spirit would then be poured out – I have no reason to doubt this.

I feel that I must stress that the result of the Holy Spirit being poured out will be

Isaiah 32:17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace [internal and external], and the result of righteousness will be quietness and confident trust forever.

Do not expect judgement. I have done some research into “the fire of God” and found that, except for Isaiah’s fire which burned up people, except for that, the fire of God comes via Ruarch which is the breath of God. You can see both at Pentecost, the Ruarch came and then tongues of Fire.

So expect – and pray for please – the infilling of the Holy Spirit on all nations, wiping away sin, wiping away tears, wiping away mourning, wiping away poverty by providing fat things full of marrow, wiping away wars, releasing people from spiritual and physical bondage.

I’ve been very honest with my readers about my life and the struggles I’ve had. I need this revival as much or more than any of you do. I’m desperate for the physical, spiritual and emotional freedom it will bring to me.

I’m also desperate to see the release of people that I see every day, as they struggle through a hard life, addicted, pressed down, trodden on, unkempt and sad. My heart breaks for people, it has for so long. And now we are on the edge of their release. Evangelists get ready… you are about to be very very busy. Pastors get ready, your flock will grow so fast that you will have to get home groups happening 🙂

Only one question remains… when exactly is “a little more than a year”? Wahoo!!!
