The capital city WAS utterly humbled and laid prostrate (Is 32:19)

I don’t know how to write this post. My heart aches for the people of Haiti.

I wrote Prepare for the day of the great slaughter and I already had tears back then already for what was to occur. FIRST please read that post, otherwise most of the references in this one won’t make sense.

When I first heard these scriptures I didn’t know which capital city He was referring to…

But it [the wrath of the Lord] shall hail, coming down overpoweringly on the forest [the army of the Assyrians], and the capital city shall be utterly humbled and laid prostrate. – Is 32:19

I’m so terribly sorry for the people in this situation. No words can satisfy the needs of Haitians on the ground. A facebook person wrote today “these are the beginnings of the birth pangs” and I simply replied “yes”.

The moment that the earthquake occured, I was lying in bed. I heard His voice LOUD and He said “I AM” and immediately I felt terrible terrible terrible things. I didn’t know what I was experiencing. The sound and power of His words felt like a hammer coming down. I was stunned by it. After some seconds I relaxed and realised that my body had tensed up at the sound/intencity of His voice. The top of my head felt like it was open.

It has taken days to see that I experienced was both His voice, and it was the descending blow of His arm – exactly in fulfillment of that scripture. In that post, I wrote…

Two things are about to occur:

1. And the Lord shall cause His glorious voice to be heard
2. and the descending blow of His arm to be seen – Is 30:30

I did hear His voice. The whole world saw (and I actually felt) the stamp His arm. I could feel a THUMP of enormous proportions. Something had slammed down. Overwhelmed by the experience, I decided to go to sleep.

Don’t try to lift everybody’s burden all by yourself. That is only what God can do. Getting too emotionally involved and trying to solve everybody’s problems, just as if you belonged to that family, will kill you. Our simple task is to bring people to Him, and hook them to the lifting power of the Holy Spirit. The gospel is the power of God to lift all the world. – Bonnke

It’s not that simple for me – and here is why. It’s actually real for me. God told people that they would lose their jobs right? By the time that occured, I had already lost my income too. People lost their homes? I lost my home and the country I lived in and all my possessions, including the 2 cats I raised from being kittens. The 22 kilograms I had in my backpack was all I kept.  God said the economy would come back, and now the economy is coming back. And me? I’ve finally got some income coming in too. No car, no house yet.

Being freed together

This is a journey we are on together… together we are overcoming the evil of this world together. I’m overcoming my addictions through faith in Jesus Christ, and you are overcoming whatever holds you and keeps you trapped. We need to understand that the whole nation crossed the Jordan into the promised land together, and we also are crossing together. Pharoah and Egypt had no faith and so they thought the believers were trapped against the sea edge, easy meat… but in fact they were crossing over!

I want you to see, as these things continue to occur – the birth pangs – whatever the newspapers tell you, don’t listen. We are not trapped in the hands of an angry God (Jonathan Edwards)… no, not at all. We are being “cut free” and we are crossing over into something entirely new. Keep your eyes on Him. Believe God. Believe in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross. Believe in His grace and mercy.

The doomsday clock was moved backwards by 1 minute

So we can see that the prophesied time of peace is now starting to show up in many different ways and forms. The change was visible last year already, but it will be greatly visible this year and the next.

Expect an increase of joy

Also in that post I wrote…

• And every passing stroke of the staff of punishment and doom which the Lord lays upon them
• shall be to the sound of … timbrels and lyres – Is 30:32

and this also has been accurately fulfilled, right from the verse first reports coming out of Haiti…

“We know that once night falls, the response of the population, which is camping out on the streets, is to sing hymns and pray. That tells us right away the response has been an intense reaching out to the spiritual,” said McAlister. – ABC News

Citizens are apparently even meeting on Twitter for makeshift prayer gatherings, like this one recorded by “Nightline” on Wednesday.

When I first heard these scriptures I didn’t know which capital city He was referring to, and I said so in my blog post…

I’m so terribly sorry for the people in this situation. No words can satisfy the needs of Haitians on the ground. I remember seeing a “chronic dependance on voodoo” as the biggest threat to this poor impoverished nation back on 23 September 2008…

Please help Haiti

I am so sorry that Haiti took such a beating. The reports coming from there are just awful and I am very very pleased to hear how much assistance the US is providing to the people and the government of Haiti. The mercy and generosity of the US toward Haiti will bear a lot of fruit in future years – for both countries I think.

My biggest fear is that bad people will use this devastating experience to re-start a chronic nationwide dependance on voodoo. I’d rather see this nation ask Jesus Christ for help and recieve more overwhelming support and provision through nations that have Christian people living in them. We simply MUST pray for Haiti and it’s people. – Source

I remember the urgency that I felt that this must be avoided.

So back to my experience of that night. Hearing His words “I AM” and then feeling the experience of that hammering down and the feelings of what I can only call “evil” happening after that… I just had to shut off and go to sleep. So I did. A friend texted me a while later, waking me from my slumbering comfort. In the morning I woke up but I still had no idea about the quake. I only found out at midday at lunch when I began to share what I felt God was encouraging me to share, and the person I was with said “have you heard the news this morning?”.

What’s next? Joy… and woe

But here is my message to you. Please listen. All morning and every day since then I have been hearing this over and over. Please listen…

Woe to those who [seek to] hide deep from the Lord their counsel, whose deeds are in the dark, and who say, Who sees us? Who knows us? [Oh, your perversity!] You turn things upside down! – Is 29:15-16

If you are working in the dark, thinking that your evil deeds are hidden, listen to my warning… the Lord God, Jesus Christ, sees you and you are in trouble. Cease what you are doing. Change!

That scripture continues, giving an ecouragement that this time will only last a “very little while” and it will become a “fruitful field”…

Shall the potter be considered of no more account than the clay? Shall the thing that is made say of its maker, He did not make me; or the thing that is formed say of him who formed it, He has no understanding?

Is it not yet a very little while until Lebanon shall be turned into a fruitful field and the fruitful field esteemed as a forest?

And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and out of obscurity and gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see. The meek also shall increase their joy in the Lord, and the poor among men shall rejoice and exult in the Holy One of Israel.

For the terrible one [the Assyrian enemy] shall come to nought, and the scoffer shall cease, and all those who watch for iniquity [as an occasion for accusation] shall be cut off…  – Is 29:16-20

The reason for the change is that the “Assyrian enemy” (symbolic of those who do evil and therefore oppose the bride of Christ’s growth) will have been “cut off”. That is what we are going through now… the cutting off. The bride is being freed, to take her place at the marriage table. “Birth pangs”.

If you are someone who is doing deeds in the dark and your deeds are designed to limit, tranquilise, oppose, stifle etc. the church, the bride of Christ… you have seen His ability to carry out His words… please listen to me… STOP what you are doing.

The meaning of the word “woe” appears to be “great suffering, pain or sadness” and in this context God is “permitting evil for the sake of a greater good”. He is cutting off the evil which is limiting the growth of the bride of Christ. Do not be one of those who get cut off.

I know… right now this is of no consolation to the 3 million Haitians who are without food and water. My sadness is also of no use to you. All I can do is pray for you, and encourage others to pray for you and send money, water, medicine and help you rebuild.

Please permit me to warn you again. I will quote from that previous post…

This event has been foretold. It is now time. It won’t be stopped. The reason is that God has work to do in this world and whoever is blocking it, will be removed – by His own hand.

I say this to you: if you are helping an evil doer, stop and get away from that person. If you are blocking God’s plans, stop blocking. I urge you to stop. I have recently had a vision of people fleeing from evil doers. Scattering.

The end result of all of this is a time of great peace. This is a 5 year process we are going through. We are about 1.5 years through it. The process will accelerate this year and – most likely – by the end of next year things will have finished changing…

I’m excited for the vast majority of people. God has arisen and He is doing what He has decided to do. You can see it for yourself. He doesn’t need anyone’s help to do it. He is God.

Evil doers, stop what you are doing. “Helpers” of evil doers, stop your helping. People near evil doers, get away from them.

I’m believing that this is going to be our greatest year as believers that the Christian church has ever seen since the time of Jesus – Angus Buchan
