I have been feeling to write a “top ten reasons” post to encourage people to look forward to what is coming.
After this post a few days ago (My sword is bathed in heaven) I can honestly tell you that I felt like passing out as I walked home. The severity of the impending situation was devastating to me. God knew I needed encouragement and since then has kept my eyes on the promise that is coming.
- What is coming is a whole new world. The bible calls it a new heaven and a new earth.
- It has already been created in Heaven and it is simply descending to earth.
Sounds crazy? But the signs are all around us. And it’s not just spiritual, it’s practical. There is rain virtually everywhere (USA, Europe, Australia, Africa and South America)
In South Africa the dams are literally overflowing: Vaal dam opens the floodgates; tourists flock to see.
Rain comes when God’s Presence increases (see this bible study on rain)
He will be like rain falling on a mown field, like showers watering the earth. – Psalms 72:6
For the soil which has drunk the rain that repeatedly falls upon it and produces vegetation useful to those for whose benefit it is cultivated partakes of a blessing from God. – Heb 6:7
Let me say it again… it’s not just spiritual, this change is in the naural as well… blessing is abundant.
It may not have felt like it, but it turns out that the U.S. economy grew at a much faster pace during the last three months of 2009. The Commerce Department said yesterday that the nation’s growth rate hit 5.7 percent – the fastest increase in six years. – GDP Is Growing, Will Jobs Follow?
I love this quote… (see lots more quotes)
Mr. LAKSHMAN ACHUTHAN (Economic Cycle Research Institute): Clearly it’s a good number. It shows that the recovery has been gaining speed as we have been debating whether or not it even exists.
That makes me smile. God said that the recovery would be swift and there was nothing to worry about LONG before the crash even occured. Oh you of little faith. Oh ME of little faith, because I doubted. Like you I had never seen anything like this before. I had read about it in the bible for sure, but I had never seen it.
Someone please tell Mr Achuthan that he is wrong…
Mr. ACHUTHAN: The problem is that we lost so much during this recession. We lost over seven million jobs, a lot of GDP loss, a lot of wealth loss. And the amount of time it will take to recover that is going to be years.
You see, the change is not just rain… the scripture says “the earth shall yield its fruit and increase”…
And I will make them and the places round about My hill a blessing, and I will cause the showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing [of good insured by God’s favor]. And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit and the earth shall yield its increase; and [My people] shall be secure in their land, and they shall be confident and know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bars of their yoke and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made slaves of them. – Ez 34:26-27
Fortunately what we see happening is NOT a result of our faith, otherwise I seriously doubt that we’d be seeing it.
Think of it this way… a marksman aimed a bow and arrow 2500 years ago at a target and now 2500 years later it is hitting it’s target.
What we are going through is THAT BIG and it’s THAT CERTAIN.
And it’s everywhere… in South Africa as well…
- The seasonally adjusted Kagiso PMI rose by 2.2 index points to reach 52.5 in December 2009 – this is the first time since January 2008 that the PMI has remained above the key 50 point mark for two consecutive months.
- Both the business activity (55.1) and new sales orders (54.7) indices indicate that output volumes increased during December. The positive trends seen in output are also visible in near-term demand indicators.
- The backlog of sales orders index (44.0) indicates that manufacturers are consistently busier than during 2009H1. Also, the increase in the seasonally adjusted inventories index (55.6) shows that the improved demand conditions are expected to continue.
- Purchasing commitments (49.5) remained resilient compared to earlier in 2009. The improvement in production activity was accompanied by a drop in the rate of retrenchment. The seasonally adjusted employment index rose for the 4th consecutive month and at 48.2 is now close to neutral.
- The PMI price index increased further in December, suggesting that producer price deflation may soon be something of the past. Purchasing managers remained positive about future prospects with the expected business conditions index rising to 69.5 from 65 points. – André Coetzee, Kagiso Securities
And more good news…
Trade Balance Swings Back Into Black – Johannesburg — SOUTH Africa’s trade balance swung unexpectedly back into the black with a surplus of R3,7bn last month as imports plunged, official data showed on Friday. Markets had predicted a deficit of R800m after a shortfall of R2,5bn in November, but the figures are notoriously volatile, reflecting the timing of shipments. Over the whole of last year, the trade deficit shrank 64% to R25,84bn from a shortfall of R71,63bn the previous year.
Divorces down in 2009! Last night on tv I saw that the number of divorces in South Africa dropped in 2009 and this has never occured before. There are millions more people, many more marriages… but the number of divorces dropped.
In 2009 the AVN (adult expo in Las Vegas) shrunk by 20%. In 2010 it shrunk by 50% Something certainly IS happening and you can’t ignore it. 🙂
I’ve been hearing the words “survival of the blessed” over and over. It means this: Darwin was right for a few thousand years the fittest DID survive. But now the God is arising, the equation has dramatically changed.
Now will I arise, says the Lord. Now will I lift up Myself; now will I be exalted. – Is 33:10
This is not good news for people who have explicitly said that YHWH, Adonai or Jesus Christ (and His other Names) is their sworn enemy.
But for the other 98% of humanity, this is very good news. 🙂
ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you–rise to a new life]! Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you. – Is 60:1-2
This change is already evident in our thinking. Regulators
DAVOS, Switzerland – Government regulators from the United States and Europe laid out their financial reform plans Saturday before a skeptical banking industry, asking financiers for input but adamant that change was coming with or without their support. Emerging from the two-hour meeting as its unofficial spokesman, U.S. Representative Barney Frank made it clear that governments were now calling the shots after spending billions to bail out the industry. Top bankers, by contrast, who came into this week’s World Economic Forum buoyed by signs of economic recovery, left somewhat subdued even as they called the closed-door meeting constructive. “No one got up and said, ‘Don’t regulate us,'” said Frank, a Massachusetts Democrat who heads the U.S. House Financial Services Committee. “It would have been a waste of their time if they did.” – In Davos, regulators tell bankers new rules coming
The world has seen what unregulated carnivorous behaviour results in. It’s not “creative destruction“. It’s simply destruction where only the “fittest survives” and millions of people suffer terribly.
We have now seen what unfettered evil greed results in… we have seen the fruits of evil and we have learned this lesson. I think.
So it is a welcome (and surprising?) thing to now see God arising to wipe out the extreme evil in this world and to increase the blessing on everyone – not just Christians.
But as I said, if you are an avowed opponent of Jesus Christ (God) then the outlook is not so bright and rosy for you. I had a vision of His sword two days ago.
But for everyone else… we are coming into a time of unparalelled stability and peace. In the future peace will be so common that people won’t even learn how to make war any more.
He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. – Micah 4:3
He will judge between many peoples and will settle disputes for strong nations far and wide. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. – Is 2:4
