To the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ

There are so many more promises which are fulfilled in Jesus Christ, which are ours if we will receive them by agreeing with them every day. If we choose to do this, every daily we will be gradually changed into His likeness. It might be a wrestling match, but we are on the winning team!

First we must understand the new nature which Jesus Christ has, then we will be able to grasp what our new nature is life. As we learn about these things, we can believe them and receive them… and during that process we will gradually reach our full stature IN Jesus Christ!

Don’t let old wine and wineskins distract you. Jesus Christ said that people prefer the taste of the old wine. Many people around you will prefer to do things the old way. This will especially be the case with leaders of churches. They have drunk the old wine for all of their lives. They have invested their whole identity in the old way of doing things, just as you are considering investing your whole identity into the new way of doing things.

So be careful, don’t let lesser revelations dilute your spiritual vision and ambition. And equally important, don’t let low self esteem limit you from believing what is written about you and your potential in the bible.

What does the bible say we are to reach? Let’s take a look…

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry,

for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, – Eph 4:11-13

It is a remarkable vision that God has presented through Paul in the bible. The body of Christ (that’s you and me) is to attain the completeness and fullness that Jesus Christ attained. And this can only be done when we are IN Jesus Christ, in fellow and union with Him.

And as the church comes to this fulfillment, the wisdom of God will have been made known to the rulers and authorities in Heaven…

To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God who created all things,

so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. – Eph 3:8-12

So we know that we are to attain the very fullness of Jesus Christ, through our faith that we are in union with Him, through our faith that we are in Him and He is in us, through our faith that we have been raise up with Him, through our faith that we have been given joint seating in the Holy of Holies with Him.

We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. – Rom 6:9

“Death no longer has dominion over” Jesus Christ… and death no longer has dominion over you or me either. Decide that this promise is yes in Jesus Christ, and simply add your “amen”.

What a priveledge for you to be able to receive what He has done for us all! It’s a free gift which we receive through our faith.

  1. Hey, I recently wrote a song about the prodigal son and God’s grace. Hope it speaks to your heart. Thanks for listening!
