If you prayed, you now have the satisfaction in having been a part of what de Mistura of the US Embassy in Kabul has described as “almost a miracle!
First he sets the context… the insurgency was at it’s MOST VIOLENT since 2001…
de Mistura congratulated the IEC for staging the poll amid an insurgency that is at its most violent since the Taliban’s ouster in 2001.
And then he calls the elections “almost a miracle”!
“If they meant success holding the election, then we would all agree, it was almost a miracle,” de Mistura said. – Fraud and turnout weigh on “miracle” Afghan poll, By Paul Tait and Sayed Salahuddin, KABUL Sun Sep 19, 2010, Reuters
Did you pray? I did. And I hope you did too. Memories. We are a part of history.
This is another example of what God is willing to do with/through people. Of course God can pacify the whole world Sovereignly, but He chooses to work with/through people who choose to have faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
The evidence is here for all to see. And the earth visibly responded for His touch! Magnitude 6.2 – HINDU KUSH REGION, AFGHANISTAN – 2010 September 17 19:21:15 UTC
Let us always remember the context for this impossible miracle.
The UN was so concerned that they evacuated 33% of their staff…
Afghanistan election violence fears lead UN to evacuate third of staff. Remaining workers will be subject to draconian security restrictions including a ban on movement around Kabul. – Jon Boone in Kabul – guardian.co.uk, Wednesday 15 September 2010
The insurgency is right now at it’s highest level since 2001…
Violence in Afghanistan has spiraled this year with a record number of casualties among foreign and Afghan troops. Civilian deaths have also soared and the main concern on polling day will be security. – Reuters
The Taliban vowed to make it violent again like last year…
Taliban threatens violence during Afghan election – By JON ATHON BURCH and SAYED SALAHUDDIN, Reuters September 17
In the last vote a year ago there were 226 violent incidents… and yet the Afghan government said 92% of all polling stations remained open and they said the level of violence this year was “insignificant“.
The interior ministry said there were 33 bomb explosions and 63 rocket attacks around the country. – The Economist
Last week the leader of the Taliban declared they were winning, this week Afghanistan had a relatively peaceful election!
And now the US is taking the opportunity to drive even deeper into the “heart of the darkness“…
The fight will attempt to liberate an area so dangerous that the Soviets bypassed it during their long occupation of the country, and where Mullah Omar launched his bloody, oppressive regime. – US offensive in Afghanistan targets “heart of darkness” – Sept 15, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
One more prayer… to come
I believe that we will all be asked by God/Jesus Christ/Holy Spirit to pray one more time. I don’t recommend exhausting yourselves every day, but instead waiting for Him to give us the timing.
God is proving to the world that He is good and that He has good things in store for us. All authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to Jesus Christ.
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. – Matt 28:18
When He walked the earth He showed His authority over sickness, over the weather, even over death. And now He is showing it again, to whoever will look, listen; and see and hear.
Please support what God is doing?
My close friends will confirm that God has long spoken to me about building a prayer center which will impact the world.
Now through this blog you are seeing mounting evidence of the goodness of God, His grace is being poured out through faith in Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God Who died and was raised again and now sits on the throne.
Please would you support this ministry?

Would you like to intercede for peace in your country or in the world? All you need to do is get a map of the area you want to pray for and get this list of scriptures (or download the MS Word version) and speak each scripture out over the area you are praying for. It’s as easy as that.
