Day 6 of prayer – Lamb of God Who takes away sin

Today pray over the area of your choice (see the above link) the following scripture:

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! – John 1:29

  1. I am always struck with profound gratefulness when I read the two verses together:
    Genesis 22:8 “Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together.” and John 1:29 “The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! ” How many thousands of years apart were these two statements, and God fulfills his promise to an extent that the whole world can be saved.
