How to… sow seeds and water them daily

This is a part of a series

So you’ve got some scriptures that you suspect are seeds just waiting to be sown and watered daily. How do you do it?

How do I do it? God showed me two visions. In the first one he showed me plastering the walls and ceilings with His promises. No I didnt do that literally, I plaster my life and my future life with His words. Then in the second vision He showed me a vision of sheet protectors in a book form.

So I got one of those… it turned up the next day, sitting unused… and I had already printed out the seeds I was planting… and so I put the A4 sheets of paper into the sheet protectors.

And now I declare all those scriptures over my life and my future life. You see, the great revelation is this: God’s words are not mere words as we are used to!

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. – Heb 4:12

and His words ACHIEVE the purpose for which they are sent!

so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. – Is 55:11

So when you declare His words over your life, those words ACCOMPLISH that for which He sent them. You dont accomplish it, His words accomplish the purpose for which He sent them.

Thats why you just add your yes and amen. Thats why you enter into His rest.

for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. – Heb 4:10

You see… years ago I wondered… how was this world made? By the Holy Spirit? By God? It says He made the world, but it doesnt say HOW He made it. Adam and Eve were made by His hands. The animals sprang out of the earth. But how was the world made?

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. – Gen 1:3

Wow. So simple. I grasped that it was His words made this world and His words CONTINUE to make things all around us. Who of us has heard Him speak to us and then seen exactly what He said come to pass? I have! His words do it.

When I grasped that, I realised that was what King David was doing in those psalms when he was speaking out all those good things God will do for him. King David knew that God’s words shape his life.

King David was speaking over his own life, over and over and over. Probably daily. More than once a day? He spoke ads he walked. He spoke in the caves, at the waterfall.

He also spoke over his mind, his heart, his future, his destiny.

It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak, – 2 Cor 4:13 (with a reference to Ps 116:10)

So now I speak scriptures over my future wife, I speak scriptures over my future children, I speak scriptures over my body, I speak these promises of God as if they are seeds and they need watering every day… so I give them water every day… in the form of my faith. My words express my faith.

I don’t walk by sight, I walk by faith. I believed, therefore I have spoken.

God’s words are creating my future right this moment as you are reading this. Can you see them when you look with eyes of faith? Yes there they are chiseling away… sculpting my future marriage…
