The bible prophesied that out of Bethlehem would come the Christ who would Shepherd His people. A shepherd guides and protects.
He did not ONLY protect back then, His actions on the cross still provide for and keep those who believe in Him now.
His actions on the cross are what we can live by… because He is the Word of God… and we do not live only by bread and water but also by every Word that comes from the mouth of God.
Jesus Christ is the Word. He is the reason many of our bibles are titled “the Word”. And we live and are protected and we are blessed and provided for by what Jesus Christ did on the cross.
