Peace and revival update

Previously I wrote Worldwide Peace Update Aug 2012. So how are we doing?

First… some context… the back story

Some time in 2008 I felt God was saying this point had been reached:

Now will I arise,” says the LORD. “Now will I be exalted; now will I be lifted up. – Is 33:10

And then in this post: An end to conflicts and revival, posted on 19 May 2009 Jesus Christ made two commitments:

Claim 1: Revival everywhere
Claim 2: The end of conflicts in the world

A few days later God spoke audibly to me again, as I recorded in this post: An end to conflicts and revival…, posted on 17 September 2009. I wrote:

  1. I expect the Presence of God/Jesus Christ to increase in the world (Is 60:19-20Is 65:24Rev 21:3) and as a result, I expect that revival will begin to come to any part of the earth where people are using their faith to receive from Him
  2. I expect to see the healing of all the nations to begin and continue (Rev 22:2) and as a result, I expect that sickness, distress and wars will decrease and then entirely stop (Is 60:18Is 60:20Is 65:19Is 65:25,Rev 21:4)
  3. I expect people to live a lot longer and for death and decay to cease to be a problem (Is 65:20)
  4. I expect everyone in the earth have a home and live in it, everyone will have work and enjoy their work (Is 65:23)

If you want to read about the claims in more depth please read this: Peace Is Increasing.

So how are we doing now?

Revival does indeed appear to be breaking out all over the globe… even in Peru… which is pretty cool.

Peace… is harder to see when you look at a map of conflicts worldwide

At first glance it seems that the USA is a participant in most of those wars. I wonder what would happen if the US simply stopped attacking other countries? (See U.S. “War On Terror” Has INCREASED Terrorism pdf_icon) As the bible says…

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword – Matt 26:52

“He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword.” – Rev.13:10

Perhaps it’s time to consider God’s plans for the world? Peace and revival.

Peace… from crime… as a start

But when you look at crime rates its much easier to see.

At first I noticed that cancer rates were falling (also see my post) which is unprecedented in history. Then I (and The Economist) noticed the crime rate in the US was plummeting. Then I noticed crime dropping in South Africa too. Then I found it in Mexico, Canada, Britain and across Europe. Now it’s worldwide!

At first I saw this in 2012…

and then in 2013…

Now it is all over the world.  🙂

Before the nay-sayers and tut-tutters get a chance to say anything, please take a look at these quotes…

IN THE 1990s John DiIulio, a conservative American academic, argued that a new breed of “superpredators”, “kids that have absolutely no respect for human life and no sense of the future”, would terrorise Americans almost indefinitely. He was not alone. Experts were convinced that crime would keep rising. Law-abiding citizens would retreat to gated communities, patrolled by security guards. Politicians and police chiefs could do little except bluster and try to fiddle the statistics.

I remember those statements at the time. The 80’s had been a very rough time for law enforcement. In the decades since then the world saw incredible violence and crime such.

But then suddenly…

Some crimes have all but died out. Last year there were just 69 armed robberies of banks, building societies and post offices in England and Wales, compared with 500 a year in the 1990s. In 1990 some 147,000 cars were stolen in New York. Last year fewer than 10,000 were.

The epidemics of crack cocaine and heroin appear to have burnt out.

Chronic youth unemployment across Europe isnt stopping the fall…

Crime in Estonia has fallen precipitously. Since 1995, the country’s murder rate has dropped by 70%, and robbery and car theft have fallen almost as far. Even as the country entered a deep recession in 2009, which pushed unemployment up to 19%, the crime rate kept falling.

The increase in young people in a city didnt stop it…

Mark Simmons, a deputy assistant commissioner for the Metropolitan Police in London, points out that the number of 18- to 24-year-old men in the city has been increasing in recent years, and yet the decline in crime has continued.

Its not a result of locking more criminals up… first time offenders have fallen by 44%

But in many places, the drop in crime seems to be down to people not becoming criminals in the first place. Between 2007 and 2012 the number of people convicted of an offence for the first time in Britain fell by 44%.

So whats the cause then? Love? Relationships? Family? Extended family?

In most countries young people are increasingly sober and well behaved. They are more likely to live with their parents and to be in higher education—across the European Union 28% of adults aged 25-34 still live at home. In Britain, the current generation of 18- to 24-year-olds is a lot less likely to have tried an illegal drug or to drink than those ten years older were at their age, and the same is true in most European countries.

Staying at home… staying out of trouble… it’s not a long term solution, ask their parents! Hehehe.

But PRAISE GOD with me that peace is coming, just as He said it would.
