Ive had a revelation about this statement.
But first let me ask you a question… who raised Jesus Christ from the dead? Was it…
The Holy Spirit?
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus – Romans 8:11
Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. – John 2:19
believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead – Rom 10:9
who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead – 1 Pet 1:21
Acts 2:24, 2:32, 3:15, 3:40 etc…
God the Father?
God the Father, who raised Him from the dead – Gal 1:1
He exerted when he raised Christ from the dead – Eph 1:20 (see v17 to see the identity of “He”)
So… wait… Who raised Jesus Christ from the dead?
It’s an important question for me, because in so many places many important things are attributed to the different “parts” of God.
My western thinking doesn’t take well to Hebrew thinking. For example, when we get to Heaven will God have wings like a bird in Psalm 91?
He cant have bird wings, because He is a strong tower isnt He? A tower with wings?
Do you see my point about Hebrew thinking? In fact He is all of those things… because they describe His character.
But when it comes to a scripture that directly affects MY daily life… for example…
The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. – Rom 16:20
it could be very risky to stand in front of a demonic presence and say something arrogant like that… they might say…
One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” – Acts 19:15
But. There it is, written in black and white in scripture. God crushes satan under whose feet? Yours. Mine. Ours.
But…wait… I thought…
- Didnt Jesus Christ destroy the works of the devil on the cross?
- And isnt it all about the power of the Holy Spirit?
- And what about only doing what the Father does, and saying what He says?
And then I saw it… I literally SAW this…
