This is a part of a series
- The beast that I saw in a vision (financial crisis)
- The beast vision – part 2, the explanation
- The beast vision – part 3, Sow for yourselves righteousness
- The beast vision – part 4, the long term solution
The current post begins here…
In this post I explain the long term solution.
In the previous post (The beast vision – part 3, Sow for yourselves righteousness) I described the short term solution to the crisis that we are facing… which is to sow righteousness for ourselves. I showed
We need this same event in every city, on every building in that city if the building was dedicated to anyone other than Jesus Christ, every country. But this is not the long term solution. God showed me that this type of repentance is short lived. We need something bigger and deeper for a long lasting change.
Josiah
You can read about it here: What happened to Josiah? (Note in that post I wrote “The judgement is imminent. Months away. The locusts are coming and the harvest will not come in. We did not learn from the last failure of the harvest, we did not change our ways, we did not soften our hearts!”) We did not learn from 2008 and I knew we would be going through what we can see now happening.
Also consider reading: Josiah’s Reform by Billy Humphrey of Kansas City IHOP (International House of Prayer).
The key point that Billy misses in his post, is that after Josiah died the people returned to their old ways AND WORSE than before. Manasseh came after Josiah and is considered the most evil king in Israel’s history.
Why did the people return to their old ways? Im glad you asked. It’s because their hearts had not changed. Josiah did righteous things and the kingdom flourished during his reign, but the people were simply following orders, their hearts had not changed. They simply waited until Josiah passed on and then they sinned even more than before.
How do hearts change?
When the people are saved and the Holy Spirit is poured out on them. And thats why I highlighted two parts to this passage of scripture: sow for yourselves… UNTIL He showers righteousness on you.
Sow for yourselves righteousness,
reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD,
until He comes and showers righteousness on you” – Hosea 10:12
You see, to make a permanent change we need revival, an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. But for right now, let us sow for ourselves righteousness. Urgently. But prayer warriors need to keep an eye on the longer term goal… revival and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, so that hearts are permanently changed.
