Getting free from Freemasonry through Jesus

When you saw that heading "getting free", if your response was "why would you need to get free?" then take a moment to read this: The testimony of a 33rd degree freemason

And now… for the main feature:

I was surprised that as I read about the Freemasonry headquarters in Washington DC (the capital of the US and seat of the government) I saw a firsthand note about the two past presidents being masons and a leading evangelist.

I began to think back to when I went to Washington DC as a 13 or 14 year old teenager and tremendous confusion and internal struggles that I had while there and afterwards. I remember coming to DC and don't remember anything after that. As I continued my travels to London I became very sick and felt like I was in a constant state of confusion. I went to doctors and they said they couldn't find out what I was sick from and that I should return home immediately and get medical attention for this unknown problem.

That confusion only let up in the last few years when I learned about what Jesus had done for me (the new covenant that He established) and that all curses are nailed to His cross if we believe in Him and accept what He has done for us. After that I became free in so many ways.

Here are just a few verses that explain the phenomenal power that Jesus has loosed in His own payment for our sins. If you are baptised into Him, the curses that are plagueing your life can be sent to His cross and no longer affect you. Read on. This is taken from the book of Colossians in the AMP version. I have highlighted the bits to focus on, in italics:

In Him all the treasures of divine wisdom (comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God) and all the riches of spiritual knowledge and enlightenment are stored up and lie hidden. Col 2:3

In Jesus alone there is much wisdom and enlightenment that you can receive.

Have the roots of your being firmly and deeply planted in Him, fixed and founded in Him, being continually built up in Him, becoming increasingly more confirmed and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and abounding and overflowing in it with thanksgiving. Col 2:7

"Continually built up" implies a process. As someone once said to me: anything that is not done through a power event (a divine zap!) will be done in a slow process.

For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form giving complete expression of the divine nature. And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead–Father, Son and Holy Spirit–and reach full spiritual stature. Col 2:9-10

The entire fullness of God was (and is) in Jesus (because He is a part of God). What's even cooler is you are in Jesus and He is in your – so the fullness of God is in you too. (You are not God. You are not Jesus. You are not going to save the world.) Jesus is in you if you are a believer in Him. That same incredible power with which He ministered, the same power that rose Him from the grave, is available to you and can be in your life. No wonder Jesus said we can do what He did.

Remember the "continually built up" part? It's a process of reaching your full spiritual nature. You can never be God, but you can grow into all God has for you.

Thus you were circumcised when you were buried with Him in your baptism, in which you were also raised with Him to a new life through your faith in the working of God as displayed when He raised Him up from the dead. Col 12

Baptism is a good thing, through it you are cut off from the past that keeps you in a prison. Once you have that, it's "faith" that will raise you to new life. There are far too many Christians who are still in the prison that Paul talks about.

And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), God brought to life together with Christ, having freely forgiven us all our transgressions, having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This note with its regulations, decrees, and demands He set aside and cleared completely out of our way by nailing it to His cross. Col 13-14

All note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands – basically all curses and legal complaints that the accuser (satan) has against you – are separated from you and nailed to Jesus cross. Hallelujah!

God disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it the cross. Col 15

The principalities and powers that rule this world have also been disarmed. You need only realise that the enabler, the key factor – is to believe that this is what Jesus has done for you. To have faith in Him and in what He has done.
