Now I will cry out like a woman in travail – Is 42:14

It may seem like a strange subject for a very short blog post. But I truly believe that we are on the cusp of an entirely new age – or more accurately, a fulfillment of what was achieved 2000 years ago. As Melchisedek heralded a change, as Jesus Christ brought a new age – the final age – we are now going to experience such changes in this world that everyone will be astonished, just as Isaiah said 2500 years ago.

[Thus says the Lord] I have for a long time held My peace, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry out like a woman in travail, I will gasp and pant together. – Is 42:14

Have I not been silent, even for a long time, and so you do not fear Me? – Is 42:14

It is true that God has been silent for a very very long time. But those who study scripture will know that many of Isaiah’s prophecies have come true in the last 60 years. Israel was created in a day

Before [Zion] travailed, she gave birth; before her pain came upon her, she was delivered of a male child. Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Or shall a nation be brought forth in a moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children. – Is 66:7-8

And the Dead Sea was discovered to be a source of immense wealth… and not merely a salty sea.

Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart shall thrill and tremble with joy [at the glorious deliverance] and be enlarged; because the abundant wealth of the [Dead] Sea shall be turned to you, unto you shall the nations come with their treasures. – Isaiah 60:5

This is a footnote in the AMP Bible about the “abundant wealth of the dead sea” – Isaiah 60:5

Isaiah 60:5 – Prior to well into the twentieth century, scholars could only speculate as to what Isaiah might have meant here by “the abundant wealth of the [Dead] Sea” that would one day be turned over to Jerusalem. Of course, the Dead Sea, which for ages had been considered only a place of death and desolation, was ruled out as a possible meaning. Then suddenly it was discovered that the waters of the Dead Sea contain important chemicals. In A.D. 1935 G.T.B. Davis wrote, “One is almost staggered by the computed wealth of the chemical salts of the Dead Sea. It is estimated that the potential value of the potash, bromine, and other chemical salts of its waters is… four times the wealth of the United States!” (G.T.B. Davis, Rebuilding Palestine) Isaiah himself did not know this, but the God who caused the Dead Sea to play a part in His program in the last days knew all about it, and He led the prophet to so prophesy here in this verse.

This is a footnote in the AMP Bible about the birth of the Jewish nation – Is 66:7-8

Is 66:7-8 Never in the history of the world had such a thing happened before–but God keeps His word. As definitely foretold here and in Ezekiel 37:21, 22, Israel became a recognized nation, actually “born in one day.” After being away from their homeland for almost 2,000 years, the Jews were given a national homeland in Palestine by the Balfour Declaration in November, 1917. In 1922, the League of Nations gave Great Britain the mandate over Palestine. On May 14, 1948, Great Britain withdrew her mandate, and immediately Israel was declared a sovereign state, and her growth and importance among nations became astonishing.

I have blogged this a few times. Don’t expect still more tribulation to come. Don’t cower in a corner and refuse to live your life because you think you know what is coming around the corner. Open your eyes, the words of Isaiah have gradually been being fulfilled over

I have had a keen interest in Everest since I was a child. I have been to Nepal 3 times. As I idolized 🙂 Everest – I want to climb it – over the years I noticed how the Khumbu Icefall had less and less ice on it. The same story has been told to me by a man who grew up in Kenya and he looked at Mt Kilimanjaro every day. He said how it used to shine in the morning because of the ice on top of it. He visited a few years ago. No ice. No shining. Hardly any snow.

There can be no doubt in anyone’s mind that global warming is pummeling this planet – and it’s entirely our fault. We did it. We’re to blame. We refused to restrain our greed – and even now I hear the US administration is rushing through legislation – Bill Clinton style – that will permit even more grotesque rape of the planet.

There is no doubt we have already ruined this earth. But. As God said through Isaiah, He did not create this world to be a worthless waste…

For thus says the Lord–Who created the heavens, God Himself, Who formed the earth and made it, Who established it and did not create it to be a worthless waste; He formed it to be inhabited–I am the Lord, and there is no one else. – Is 45:18

But God – as promised over and over and over through Isaiah – is not about to simply let us nuke the earth and each other until the world grows a bright colour of orange. Of course He could, and He’d be justified in doing it… but THANK GOD He said He wouldn’t… and He won’t.

For I will not contend forever, neither will I be angry always, for [if I did stay angry] the spirit [of man] would faint and be consumed before Me, and [My purpose in] creating the souls of men would be frustrated. – Is 57:16

You probably have already felt the change, seen it in the routines that used to be normal and now aren’t. It’s a very exciting time to be alive. Believe me.

One thing though… there IS a devil. Hindu spiritual people agree with that – they have a name for him. Tibetan monks agree – they also have a name for him. And that person – the devil – knows his time is short and he is trying to create trouble wherever he can. Don’t let him. Have faith in the completed work of Jesus Crist.

In the not too distant future these words will be true – it will be such a new day that sorrow and sighing will flee away. If a person dies when they are 100 they will be considered to have been cursed because they died in their youth.

I am the Lord; that is My name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images. Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them. Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the islands and coastal regions and the inhabitants of them [sing a song such as has never been heard in the heathen world]! Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voices, the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of the rock [Sela or Petra] sing; let them shout from the tops of the mountains! Let them give glory to the Lord and declare His praise in the islands and coastal regions.

The Lord will go forth like a mighty man, He will rouse up His zealous indignation and vengeance like a warrior; He will cry, yes, He will shout aloud, He will do mightily against His enemies. [Thus says the Lord] I have for a long time held My peace, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry out like a woman in travail, I will gasp and pant together.

I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their herbage; I will turn the rivers into islands, and I will dry up the pools. And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness into light before them and make uneven places into a plain. These things I have determined to do [for them]; and I will not leave them forsaken. They shall be turned back, they shall be utterly put to shame, who trust in graven images, who say to molten images, You are our gods. Hear, you deaf! And look, you blind, that you may see!Is 42:8-18

Now let’s quickly clarify the meaning of one aspect of this passage. We have already seen that He intends to SAVE and not to destroy this world – regardless of what some people may teach – and so how do we understand this warrior language in these words? “I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their herbage; I will turn the rivers into islands, and I will dry up the pools

In Isaiah the hills and mountains are things that block people from getting on the highway back to Him. Rivers also block people. Bodies of water block the people too. These are figurative images that Isaiah often uses to describe whatever it is that blocks people. So let’s ask ourselves. What is it that the prophets said again and again that blinds eyes and block ears and smears minds? Yes. Sin and death!

That is why I keep saying that we must remind ourselves that Jesus Christ completely took upon Himself the sin of the WHOLE WORLD and then He died in the place of EVERYONE. We have failed appropriate that truth and so we lived in great difficulty for yet another 2000 years!

But now we will receive this truth for everyone and everyone will be free. Not saved into eternal life, but free to choose.

And if you need proof, consider this…

wowNov 9, 2008 – I wrote this post and decided to collect the action as it happened. I had the word on Weds 29th Oct and on Friday 21 Oct I wrote Lakes and rivers to run again in Australia.

After a hot burning summer, winter is knocking at the doors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing with it unexpected, heavy, rainfall, in the capital city. There have also been reports of rain in other parts of the Kingdom, especially Hafer Al Batin, where rain caused massive disturbances and tight spots, as well as light rain in Dammam, and Al Hassa, which come under the purview of the Eastern Province. The rains on Monday November 3, created havoc in the city with roads in most areas turning waterlogged.

wowNov 9, 2008 – I suddenly began to notice that it had begun to rain in the desert-of-all-deserts, Saudi Arabia!

But since it’s their rainy season (about 1-2 days per year) from October onwards, it’s hard to figure out if this is significance.

In trying to find this rain map, I discovered that rain is SO rare that weather maps for Saudi didn’t even have a “display rain history” option, which is common for any other country I have looked at. Amazing huh? But yeah, I found one.

What did God mean when He said rain in the desert? Which desert? Or did He mean raininng righteousness and salvations in the spiritual desert of this world? We shall find out I guess?! 🙂

Rumma Valley flowing east (SAUDI ARABIA!)

Arab News, Saudi Arabia – Nov 8, 2008

BURAIDAH: Wadi Al-Rumma (the Rumma Valley), the Arabian Peninsula’s longest valley, is full of rainwater that has reached Buraidah and is moving 200 km east toward the Asyah region. Hundreds of people received the lake — which had accumulated due to heavy rains that hit central Saudi Arabia last week — with cheers, as water calmly flowed under the bridge of Buraidah’s East Ring Road, leaving the city behind. “It is not clear whether the water will complete its journey to Asyah in the eastern parts of Qassim province or whether it will stop on the eastern outskirts of Buraidah near the town of Al-Rubaieiah. It depends on the amount of rain during the next few days,” said Saleh, an old man who had come to watch the water. The valley’s water had already made its way through the Qassim province passing Al-Bedayea and Onaizah. “If the rain does not stop, the water will surely complete its journey to the northwest of Saudi Arabia as it had done in the past,” said the old man. “It was 20 years ago that I last saw a scene like this.”
